How to read this map
AC and DC mark the planet centre on the geometric horizon, rising and setting. MC and IC mark upper and lower meridian crossings. These are geocentric directions, not observed sunrise or sunset: refraction, terrain, elevation, lunar parallax and the edge of a planet’s disc are excluded.
A body’s physical rising line need not put its zodiacal longitude exactly on the chart’s Ascendant. The map retains celestial latitude; the zodiacal angle is a point on the ecliptic.
Moving the pin keeps the original birth instant, planetary longitudes, retrograde flags and planet-to-planet aspects unchanged. Only the angles, houses and angle contacts are recalculated. A destination’s timezone never changes the birth moment.
Distances are approximate shortest distances on a sphere to a valid line branch, including its endpoint. They are not influence boundaries or advice about where to live. At high latitudes Placidus may fall back to Whole Sign; genuinely undefined values are withheld.
The model supports 1700–2200. Birth-clock uncertainty, historical timezone rules and uncertain future Earth rotation can matter more than the calculated precision. Natural Earth geography is generalized for world/regional exploration, not street-level navigation.
