Aspect Search

Every date two moving bodies perfect an aspect, to the minute: pick the pair, the angle, and the window. No account, no birth data — the URL is the search.

Method: an aspect is exact when the separation of the two geocentric ecliptic longitudes (of date) equals the aspect angle precisely; instants are Universal Time, bisected to well under the displayed minute. For sextiles, squares and trines the pair can stand at the angle on either side of alignment, so both aspect points are searched and merged. The scan samples daily — six-hourly when the Moon is involved, since its 13° a day is coarse against a degree-wide feature — and a crossing that begins and reverses inside a single sampling step (a graze a few hundredths of a degree deep) can escape it. Hits are grouped into one retrograde series when the pair stays within 15° of the aspect point between them; a series truncated by the window edge can show an even pass count. Windows are capped at 50 years — 5 when the Moon is involved — across 17002200. The node is the mean node — the smoothed orbit, not the oscillating true node — and is never flagged retrograde: mean elements move backwards by definition.
