What a harmonic chart is

A harmonic chart is one multiplication: every longitude in the birth chart times a whole number h, mod 360°. The first harmonic multiplies by one and is therefore the birth chart itself, unchanged. Any other number redraws the wheel — signs, degrees and aspects all follow the new longitudes.

What the multiplied wheel concentrates is conjunctions. Multiplying longitudes multiplies separations, so two points standing 360°/h apart in the birth chart — or at any whole multiple of that gap — land on the same degree in the h-th harmonic. A harmonic conjunction therefore marks a natal separation near a multiple of 360°/h, folded onto a single point where it is easiest to see: in H5 that gap is 72°, in H4 it is 90°, in H9 it is 40°.

Houses are absent by construction, not omission: cusps come from where an observer's horizon cuts the zodiac, and the multiplication wraps the zodiac onto itself h times over — no horizon anywhere on Earth corresponds to the result. Retrograde marks copy through unchanged, because motion is a fact about the natal sky rather than about the multiplied one.
