Opposition
Two planets 180 degrees apart, facing each other across the wheel. A standoff between two pulls that share one axis. The work is balance, and it often plays out through other people.
The opposition halves the circle: 180 degrees, six signs, two planets face to face across the chart. Opposed signs form an axis of related concerns, self and other, home and public life, so the standoff is always between relatives, never strangers.
Its signature is the seesaw. Favor one end and the other rises, often wearing someone else's face: oppositions have a talent for turning an inner split into a standoff between people. The work they ask for is holding both ends at once.
The sky's monthly opposition is the Full Moon, Sun and Moon at maximum distance, and it carries the aspect's general flavor in time: culmination, full visibility, results on the table.
