Sextile
Two planets sixty degrees apart, two signs from each other. A friendly aspect: cooperation that is available but not automatic. It opens a door and waits for you to walk through.
The sextile divides the circle by six: sixty degrees, or two signs of separation. Signs sextile to each other pair fire with air and earth with water, elements that get along without being identical.
Its keynote is opportunity. Sextiles show where two parts of a chart, or two people, cooperate readily once someone makes the first move. The old observation is that trines give while sextiles offer: left alone, a sextile stays a pleasant possibility.
In timing work, sextiles mark light support: good days to ask, start, or connect, provided you actually do the asking.
