Hermetic lots
Points calculated from three others, usually the Ascendant plus the arc between two planets. Fortune and Spirit are best known; Aspicio adds Eros, Necessity, Courage, Victory and Nemesis.
A lot, also called an Arabic part, is not a body in the sky. It is arithmetic: take the arc between two points and measure it again from a third, usually the Ascendant. The Lot of Fortune is the arc from the Sun to the Moon, laid off from the Ascendant, in a day chart.
Most lots reverse at night, swapping the two points they measure between. Fortune and Spirit are each other's reversal. The five further lots Aspicio shows follow Paulus Alexandrinus: Eros, Necessity, Courage, Victory and Nemesis, each built on Fortune or Spirit.
Lots need an exact Ascendant, so they appear only for charts with a birth time.
